Meeting was called to order by Sandy Flores, Regional Adminstrative Committee Chair, at 7:55am

OLD BUSINESS
 

NON DECLARED IES ATHLETES
Confirming that the October 2024 motion was for Xcel Diamond, Sapphire and Level 8 to advance to Regionals on whatever event they score a 9.0 (Level 8) or 8.75 (Xcel Diamond and Xcel Sapphire) or better on at their State meet, regardless if they did not previously declare as a specialist and did not meet the qualifying All Around score at state. Handbook was not updated correctly and the Xcel score of 8.5 was permitted for Regionals 2025.

REGION 2 INTERNATIONAL TRIP
Money was raised for the trip and the trip will take place in October.
 
XCEL ALL-STAR TEAM
A motion to recognize an Xcel All-Star team beginning with the 2025 Regional meet. The team will be comprised of the top 5 All-Around athletes from the Diamond division, and the top 5 athletes from the Sapphire division, regardless of age group. Each athlete will receive an Xcel All-Star jacket and be able to attend 1 Xcel Regional camp (the following season), free of cost.

XCEL SESSIONS AT REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
A motion to follow USAG Rules and Policies for the number of athletes allowed per session. Continuing with 4 age groups per session and to follow R&P for minimum of awards.

XCEL SENIORS
Clarifying in the handbook that only Xcel Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire Seniors that don’t qualify at State meet may participate at Regional Championships.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Discussion on the need to expand our 2026 fundraising.

Motion for the Region to pay for all Level 9 and Level 10 apparel packages for the 2025 season

2025 REGIONAL CAMPS
Discussion on 2025 Regional Camps. Tiffany is in the process of finalizing dates and facilities. Charlene requested July 18-20 for our first Regional camp in Alaska.

 

2025 PROGRAM OF THE YEAR
The following programs were nominated for Xcel Regional Program of the Year:
     Alaska – Anchorage Gymnastics
     Hawaii – Island Tumblers
     Idaho – Palouse Empire
     Oregon – Athletic Edge
     Washington – Emerald City Gymnastics

Sandy, Kelsey and Dianne recused themselves from the discussion. Palouse Empire was chosen as Regional Xcel Program of the Year!

 

A reminder that Sandy and Tiffany will be tracking Regional and National points for Dev Program of the Year, and be submitting the top 3 clubs for a vote the weekend of National Championships.

 

REGIONAL ENTRY FEES FOR 2026
Motion to have Regional entry fees set at up to $150.00 per athlete with approved budget submitted to the RAC.

DEV SENIORS
Motion to have Level 8-10 Seniors who do not qualify to Regional Championships be permitted to participate at Regional Championships, as long as they compete at their State meet. Athletes would be eligible to earn medals, but will not be able to qualify on to Western National Championships or Dev National Championships.

Motion for the Region to pay for all Level 9/10 entry fees to Western Nationals and National Champiosnhips.

OFFICER REPORTS
RTCC – Laurie discussed continuing to rotate our judges into post season meets, as well as next year being very busy with Judge’s tests and new codes.

 

RDPCC – Tiffany talked about the need to have State Chairs help with athlete traking to make apparel ordering more efficient. Also requested that all State meet hosts label IES athletes in Proscore with specific events so that they are easily recognaized in our counts.
For example: Suzie Gymnast (VT/UB/FX)

 

RXCC – Dianne’s position will be up in 2026 and she is not eligible to run as the position will need to be filled by an active Xcel Coach.

 

NAWGJ – Priscilla presented an in-depth report.
Alaska will have new co-SJD’s – Kalei Rupp and Kai Sims, Detrich Sheffield will be moving to Idaho.Fundraisers have been successful.26 Region 2 Judges will attend 2025 National Congress. 2024 Regional Green Flag award – Tracy Duncan, WA Pricillas term will be up in May, 2026.

 

STATE REPORTS
Alaska – No report
Hawaii – No report
Idaho – SAC will be hosting Wester National Championships in Boise 2026
Montana – No report
Oregon – Looking forward to hosting Xcel Regionals.
Washington – No report.
